Dirge Class Combat Arts

Lucky Break. Grants the chance to create a heroic opportunity.

Scream of Death. Scream of Death is a "sneak" damage over time cast and requires "back only" positioning. This ability contains 3 cycles, 15 seconds each, each cycle has 5 ticks of damage over time, and each cycle grows in damage with the 3rd cycle having the strongest damage ticks. Scream of Death expires at the end of its 3rd cycle, which is 45 seconds. Scream of death can have its reuse timer is reduced by 10 seconds with a Sunder Frontier red adornment.

Misfortune's Kiss. Misfortune's Kiss is a direct damage combart art that is a "sneak" attack and a wisdom debuff. Debuffing the wisdom attribute reduces the enemies magic mitigation that allows hostile spells to do more damage. The wisdom debuff can be increased through a AA enhancement.

Darksong Blade. Darksong Blade is a 3 hit combo attack. If the first hit misses, then the successive hits miss. If the second hit misses, then the last hit misses. The recast of this ability is 4 seconds shorter than the duration; however, once you get geared, the first hit damage inflicts much more damage than the final third combo hit. AA enhancement can shorten the duration so that the over time damage occurs faster

Daro's Dull Blade. A flanking attack with front end damage and a debuff that decreases the enemies autoattack damage by reducing the enemies damage per second (DPS) attribute. DPS attribute affects only autoattack damage. AA enhancements can increase Daro's Dull Blade's damage and debuff.

Sinister Strike. A flanking or behind attack with front end damage and a physical mitigation debuff allowing the player to inflict more crushing, piercing, and slashing damage. AA enhancement can reduce the reuse timer.

Cheap Shot. A 2 second stun that adds another 2 seconds if the enemy is not heroic nor epic labeled and only for player-vs-environment combat. Cheap Shot is extremely helpful in battlegrounds and soloing to extend survivability. AA enhancement can reduce the reuse timer.

Thuri's Doleful Thrust. A direct damage attack that also heals the Dirge's health. This heal component is also allowed to give a critical heal. AA enhancements can increase the heal and damage.

Shroud. Grants the Dirge stealth, or sneak mode. Take notice that some enemies are allowed to see through your stealth. AA enhancement can lower Shroud's casting time.

Jael's Dreadful Deprivation. A bow attack that is a 3 hit combo. If the first hit misses, then the successive hits miss. If the second hit misses, then the last hit misses. If the first two hits are successful, then the enemy is rooted if the enemy is not epic labeled. If the root component activates, then this becomes quite useful for battlegrounds and soloing. AA enhancement can reduce the reuse timer.

Evade. Reduces the Dirge's threat value toward the enemy. In player-vs-player combat, Evade forces target to clear their selected target.

Dirge AA Combat Arts

Round Bash. A shield attack that does direct damage and throws, stuns, and blurs enemy for 1.8 seconds, if the enemy is not labeled as epic. A round shield must be equipped to activate Round Bash. This ability is very useful for player-vs-player and solo survivability.

Evasive Maneuvers. A direct damage attack that also reduces the enemy's hate toward the Dirge below another player's threat value. In player-vs-player, this ability only inflicts damage.

Rhythm Blade. A direct damage attack that also buffs the Dirge's combat, casting, and focus skills. Ordination is a casting skill that will help the Dirge's area effect debuffs land more reliability against enemies. The combat skills will help your autoattack's accuracy.

Messenger's Letter. A direct damage bow attack that also increase's the threat value towards the enemy's target. In player-vs-player, this ability forces target to clear their selected target.

Turn Strike. A direct damage attack that also shield's the Dirge from most Area of Effect damage, including most red text damage that gives you an ailment, only if the Dirge is not the enemy's direct target. Pay attention to debuffs received from the enemy. Special enemy debuffs can disable the beneficial Area of Effect immunity. I would strongly recommend [Dragowulf] Spell Timer mod to make Turnstrike's timer is very noticeable when it terminates. As an alternative to Dragowulf's mod, an ACT trigger can be created to give notification when Turnstrike is active and when it expires.

Bump. A flanking, or behind, direct damage attack that also gives you coin and grants the Dirge stealth, or "sneak mode". Pair this ability with Misfortune's Kiss or Scream of Death.

Wail of the Banshee. An area effect (green), direct damage attack with a damage over time component and termination damage. The termination damage equates to half of this spells entire damage output. Verlien's Keen of Despair. Single target noxious mitigation debuff with a high percent snare, that is breakable upon damage received. This snare stacks with Daro's Sorrowful Dirge snare. AA enhancement improves the noxious mitigation debuff.

Tarven's Crippling Crescendo. Single target defense skill debuff, with direct damage, and interrupts the enemy's current ability cast. AA enhancement improves the damage and defense skill debuff.

Disheartening Discant. Area effect (green) agility and strength debuff. This debuff has an initial power cost and a recurrent power cost that ticks every 6 seconds. AA enhancements can improve the agility and strength debuff and improve the casting speed and duration and lower the recurrent power cast. Dirge Class Hostile Control Effect Spells

Lanet's Excruciating Scream. Single target daze. A daze disable's the enemies autoattack for a duration. This spell can be cast on epics except the resistability rate increase at a particular level. AA enhancement reduces the recast timer.

Hymn of Horror. Area of effect (blue) interrupts and blurs the vision of up to 8 enemies. This ability also has a chance to stun and throw back the surrounding enemies. Area of effect (blue) abilities can extend through walls, doors, ceilings, and floors. In player-vs-player, Hymn of Horror knockback, which triggered, is quite fun when it pushes other players over the side of a tower or cliff. AA enhancement increases the trigger that blurs, stuns, and throws their enemies.

Garsin's Funeral March. Single target fear that has a chance to be removed when attacked. A Fear disables and interrupts the enemy while forcing the enemy to run in the opposite direction of the Dirge. A feared enemy, inflicted with damage, can possibly run to their friends, causing the friends to come attack you. In player-vs-player, the fear is fun when it forces a player to run off a tower or a cliff. Also, when cast upon players, the fear is an interrupte and stifle until the enemy is inflicted by damage. AA enhancement improves the casting speed and reduces the reuse timer.

Dirge Class Beneficial Spells

Oration of Sacrifice. A single target, group or raid, friend heal that is transfered from the Dirge's health pool. This ability will stifle the player for the duration of the heal. AA enhancement increases the base heal amount and, at the AA's final rank, removes the stifle detriment. Sundered Frontier red adornment increases the base healing by 30% and removes the stifle detriment.

Elegy of Awakening. Resurrects 6 players that heals the resurrected player's power and health and applies ressurection sickness. Resurrection Sickness debuffs the resurrected player's attributes by 20% for a two minute duration. AA enhancements improve the casting speed, health replenishment, and power replishment and allows the health and power replenishment to give a critical amount

Elegy at Death's Door. A single target player resurrection that heals the resurrected player's power and health and applies ressurection sickness. Resurrection Sickness debuffs the resurrected player's attributes by 20% for a two minute duration. AA enhancements improve the casting speed, health replenishment, and power replishment and allows the health and power replenishment to give a critical amount.

Cacophony of Blades. Buffs attack speed, grants players additional damage upon each primary weapon swing, and allows each primary weapon swing to interrupt the enemy's current ability cast. Only combat arts and autoattacks will trigger the additional damage. Sundered Frontier increases damage by 10% and maximizes the reuse timer. ACT trigger is very beneficial to coordinate Cacophony of Blades with other Dirges in a raid.

Dirge AA Beneficial Spells

SonicBarrier. This can only be activated when your raid or group friend's health is under 50% and then it will absorb 3 total attacks of any type of damage. During raid, due to the 50% health restriction, the time elapsed between your target being below 50% health and death can be very short. So, if I think Sonic Barrier has a slight chance in preventing a death, then I spam, continually clicking, Sonic Barrier on my target a couple seconds before, when I think, massive damage is incurred.

Confront Fear. Resurrection Sickness decreases a character's skills and mitigation by 20%. Confront Fear cures this resurrection sickness and is an asset especially when reserved to be used on Priests, MT, OT, or hate transfer character classes. When resurrecting a group of players, confront fear, without enchancentment, can be cast upon two resurrected players within the duration of revive sickness. AA enhancement reduces reuse timer by 20 seconds and, at final rank, cures control effects.

Magnetic Note. Forces a Dirge's friend's target to change and lock their selected target to the Dirge's friend. This only works if the Dirge's friend is a Fighter or a Scout. This works the same and is very beneficial for player-vs-player combat.

Victorious Concerto. Converts damage recorded by its companion ability, Rhythmic Overture, into extra damage for the Dirge's group. More Details

Bladedance. Protects the group against area effect abilities that do not directly target them. AA enhancement reduces the reuse timer by 200 seconds.

lend_shielding.jpg Lend Shielding. Allows the Dirge to completely block a melee attack for them self or for others. A round shield must be equipped for this ability to work. Lend Shielding increases survivability in player-vs-player and solo environments.

Dirge Class Group Buffs

Bria's Inspiring Ballad. Increases in-combat power replenishment of the Dirge's group. This ability does stack with Enchanter's power replenishment spell. AA enhancement can increase the power replenishment by 25% at highest rank. Also, fabled and quest items exist to further increase the power replenishement when the item is equipped. Only time I use this group buff is when the group does not have an enchanter or use it when it is noticeable the Dirge's group members need additional power replenishment.

Dead Calm. Grants the Dirge's group members a chance to strike for additional disease damage on a successful attack. Only combat arts and autoattacks trigger this additional damage. AA enhancements increase the trigger chance by 5% at highest rank. Dead Calm provides a very noticeable damage output for Fighters and Scouts. Sundered Frontier red adornment increases the tigger chance an additional 5%. Luck of the Dirge adds an additional 2% to Dead Calm.

Harl's Rousing Tune. Increases the Dirge's group members strength, agility, and base avoidance. AA enhancement can increase the strength and agility attributes by 50% at final rank. Strength and agility give Fighters and Scouts, respectively, a very noticeable bonus to damage output and increases their power pool. All character archetypes can benefit from the base avoidance only when the player is being directly attacked.

Noxious Symphony. Increases the noxious resistance of all the Dirge's allies. AA enhancement adds a regenerative ward to absorb all noxious damage. A regenerative ward is a permanent ward against a predetermined amount of damage.

Percussion of Stone. Grant's the dirge's group a chance to absorb a single physical attack. This absorbption is only trigger when a player is being directly attacked. Only use this ability if you know a group member will be directly attacked. Luck of the Dirge adds an additional 2% to the trigger to Percussion of Stone.

Riana's Relentless Tune. Increases the Damage Per Second (DPS) attribute of group members. DPS attribute only improves autoattack damage. Dirge epic buff, March of Blades, allows this group buff to improve combat art damage by 10%. Sundered Frontier red adornment removes the concentration cost from Riana's Relentless Tune (version 7 only). AA enhancement improves the DPS attribute by 70%. Fighters and Scouts benefit the most from Riana's Relentless Tune.

Selo's Accelerando. Increases the out-of-combat movement speed of the Dirge's group. AA enhancements improve out-of-combat movement by 10%, in-combat movement by 15% and grants a safefall damage reduction by 50% and another enhcanment improves out-of-combat movement speed by an additional 25%. Items can also further improve the out-of-combat movement speed of Selo's Accelerando. Drum of the Ethernaut Chronicler grants an additional 15% out-of-combat movement speed to Selo's Accelerando (version 4 only). Harmonious Blood Mail armor set grants an additional 8% out-of-combat movement speed to all versions of Selo's Accelerando. The item enhancements given to Selo's Accelerando remain even after the corresponding items are unequipped; however, the enhancement must be reapplied every time the Dirge or any group member changes zones.

Songster's Luck. Increases the combat skills of the Dirge's group. AA enhancements improve the combat skills by 80% and another enhancement improves combat skills by another 25%. The combat skill improvements are beneficial for players lower than level 80. At level 80, items can buff Fighters and Scouts with a noticeable amount of combat skills. Fighters and Scouts get the most benefit out of combat skills. Combat skills increase the accuracy of weapons. Sundered Fronter red adornment adds a 10% accuracy attribute to Songster's Luck. Once the accuracy attribute enhancement is obtained, this is a required buff to help the Dirge's group members get better weapon accuracy from both the combat skill and accuracy attribute buffs.

Jael's Mysterious Mettle. Increases the parry skill of the Dirge's group members. AA enhancements improve the parry attribute by 20% and improve the parry attribute by another 25% and another enhancement grants additional physical mitigation. The parry attribute improvements are beneficial for players lower than level 80. At level 80, items can buff Fighters with a noticeable ammount of parry attribute. Parry attribute only allows a player to avoid an attack when directly attacked. The physical mitigation enhancement mitigates both direct and indirect physical damage. Jael's Mysterious Mettle is only useful when a Dirge's group member will be attack with physical damage or autoattack damage.

Dirge AA Group Buffs

All of these AA group buffs are obtained by assigning AA points in the Achievement window.

Allegro. Increases Dirge's group member's ability casting speed by 8% at highest rank. AA enhancements grant an additional effect that reduces ability recovery speed by 32% at highest rank. All abilities have a default recovery speed of .5 seconds if recovery speed is not stated in the ability description. Read Casting Speeds to know more. Troubadors can also obtain this buff and this buff does not stack.

Dexterous Sonata. Increases Dirge's group member's critical bonus attribute by 10%. Critical bonus is only applied when an attack hits or ability applies a critical amount determined by critical chance. Sundered Frontier red adornment grants an additional 3% critical bonus. Troubadors can also obtain this buff and this buff does not stack.

Don't Kill the Messenger. Increases the critical chance of the Dirge's group by 7.5% at highest rank. AA enhancements improves the critical chance by an additional 10%. Troubadors can also obtain this buff and can further enhance this buff and this buff does not stack.

Fortissimo. Increases the Dirge's group member's Multi Attack by 10% at highest rank. Troubadors can also obtain this buff and this buff does not stack. Dirge can further AA enhancement this ability by increaseing the Multi Attack by an additional 5% at highest rank.

Heroic Story Telling. Increases the effectiveness of the Dirge's goup member's heroic opportunities by 50%. Read Scout Heroic Opportunity Buffs for more information on how this improves the Dirge's heroic opportunity rewards. Troubadors can also obtain this buff and this buff does not stack.

Luck of the Dirge. Increases the Dirge's group member's trigger percentage on buffs and abilities by 20% of existing trigger percent. For example, a 20% bonus that affects a 10% trigger chance will add an additional 2% trigger bonus.

Vanishing Act. Places the Dirge's group into stealth including pets and this activates a "forced retreat" command. The "forced retreat" command turns off the group's autoattack and calls all pets to "back off", or retreat. Vanishing Act also has instant casting speed and instant revovery speed to activate "sneaking" used for quick casting of Scream of Death or Misfortune's Kiss.

Dirge Class Single Target Buffs

Gravitas. Increases the healing, ward, and resurrection restoration amount of targeted ally. The increased healing applies to health and power healing given by many items and from other class abilities. An ally is given an immunity meaning the ally may only receive Gravitas again when the immunity expires. AA enhancements grants an additional ability of reducing the reuse timer on beneficial only abilities and items. An item or ability is beneficial when the target is classified as friend, self, group, other group, and raid. Read About Gravitas for more information. ACT triggers can help with coordination when casting this ability on multiple targets.

Hyran's Seething Sonata. Increase a Dirge's ally aggression skill and the amount of hate they generate in combat.

Death's Door. Increases the Dirge's agility and base avoidance and grants a chance of dealing disease damage to anyone that attacks the Dirge. Sundered Frontier red adornment increases the Dirge's maximum health pool by 20%.

Dirge AA Single Target Buffs

Battle Cry. Increases the Dirge's or a Dirge ally's Multi Attack by 15% and grants 5% Flurry. Flurry grants an additional autoattack from each weapon. This ability will not stack with the Illusionist's Illusory Arm spell. Sundered Frontier red adornment improves the Flurry by 3%.

Song of Shielding. Allows the Dirge to help an ally to avoid an attack. This does not stack with similar spells from other classes. The chance to successfully avoid an attack increases dramatically when the Dirge has a roundshield equipped when casting this ability.
